World Peace? Trump's Military Conflict Lies & Foreign Policy Disasters: 317 Terrorist Attacks, 45 Combat Deaths, 109 Brain Injuries, 217 Armed World Conflicts, Nukes & Record: Bombs Dropped/Arms Sold

Updated: Oct 14

Thousands of people online are claiming that there were "No new wars" under Trump. What does that even mean?

The United States hasn't had an official and formal declaration of war since December 7, 1941.

The Truth is that Trump had the most embarrassing, failed, and most violent Foreign Policy Record in the history of American Presidents.

Trump will use America's Military to attack America, more than he already has.

FACT CHECK: There were 217 armed conflicts between 2017 and 2020

Since Trump gave all these conflicts permission to occur as "The World Dictator," is he now responsible for all this?

In the last full 18 months of Trump's presidency, starting in July 2019, there were 12 combat deaths reported in Afghanistan.

Throughout Trump's entire term, 45 combat deaths were reported in Afghanistan.

Trump has repeatedly claimed, falsely, that he presided over an 18-month period when no U.S. soldiers died

Worst Mass Shootings Under Trump

October 1, 2017 Las Vegas, NV (Las Vegas Strip) 58 deaths and 867 injured.

November 5, 2017 Sutherland Springs, TX (Texas First Baptist Church) 27 deaths and 22 injured.

August 3, 2019 El Paso, TX (Walmart) 23 deaths and 22 injured.

February 14, 2018 Parkland, FL (Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School) 17 deaths and 17 injured.

Examples of other Domestic Terrorism in America under Trump

August 2017 Charlottesville Car-Ramming: A white supremacist terrorist attack, when James Alex Fields Jr. deliberately drove his car into a crowd of people peacefully protesting the Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, killing one person and injuring 35. Fields, 20, had previously espoused neo-Nazi and white supremacist beliefs, and drove from Ohio to attend the rally.

October 27, 2018 The Pittsburgh synagogue shooting: An antisemitic terrorist attack that took place at the Tree of Life – Or L'Simcha Congregation synagogue in the Squirrel Hill neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States. The congregation, along with New Light Congregation and Congregation Dor Hadash, which also worshipped in the building, was attacked during Shabbat morning services. The perpetrator killed eleven people and wounded six, including several Holocaust survivors. It has so far been the deadliest attack on a local Jewish community in American history, seconded by the 2019 Jersey City shooting committed by a Black Hebrew Israelite (BHI).

On December 10, 2019, a shooting took place at a kosher grocery store in the Greenville section of Jersey City, New Jersey. 7 people were killed and 3 injured by two assailants, David N. Anderson and Francine Graham.

The COVID-19 pandemic and ensuing government “lockdowns” in many jurisdictions provide renewed impetus to extremists across the far-right spectrum, offering perceived proof for many of their conspiracy theories and leading to spikes in online radicalization. Nationwide racial justice protests, catalyzed by the killing of George Floyd, also reenergize far right Americans, some of whom gather in armed counterprotests to “defend” police and businesses from rioting and looting. In the most notable flash of violence, Air Force Sergeant and “boogaloo” adherent Steven Carrillo perpetrates twin attacks in May and June 2020 that kill a federal officer and sheriff’s deputy in California. Both before and after his November 2022 election loss to Joe Biden, President Trump repeatedly airs unfounded concerns over mail-in ballot voting and repeats the falsehood that the election was “stolen.”

International Terrorist Attacks

On 31 May 2017, a truck bomb exploded in a crowded intersection in Kabul, Afghanistan, near the German embassy during rush hour, killing over 150 and injuring 413, mostly civilians, and damaging several buildings in the embassy.

On 14 October 2017, two truck bombings took place in Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia, killing at least 587 people and injuring 316 others.

24 November 2017, the al-Rawda mosque was attacked by roughly 40 gunmen during Friday prayers. The attack killed 311 people and injured at least 128, making it the deadliest attack in Egyptian history.

On 27 January 2018, an ambulance was used as a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device near Sidarat Square in Kabul, Afghanistan. At least 103 people were killed and 235 others wounded in the attack. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack.

On 15 March 2019, two consecutive mass shootings took place in Christchurch, New Zealand. They were committed by a single perpetrator during Friday prayer, first at the Al Noor Mosque in Riccarton, overlooking Hagley Park, at 1:40 p.m., and second, after driving at speed across town, at the Linwood Islamic Centre at 1:52 p.m. Altogether, 51 people were killed and 89 others were injured, including 40 by gunfire.

On 13 July 2018, ahead of Pakistan's general election, two bombings took place at election rallies in Bannu and Mastung. One of the deadliest terrorist attacks in Pakistani history, it killed 149 people and wounded 186 others.

The 2018 As-Suwayda attacks were a string of suicide bombings and mass shooting incidents in As-Suwayda, Syria on 25 July, 2018. At least 258 people were killed and 180 wounded.

On 21 April 2019, Easter Sunday, three churches in Sri Lanka and three luxury hotels in the commercial capital, Colombo, were targeted in a series of coordinated ISIS-related terrorist suicide bombings. Later that day, two smaller explosions occurred at a housing complex in Dematagoda and a guest house in Dehiwala. A total of 269 people were killed, including at least 45 foreign nationals, three police officers, and eight suicide bombers. An additional 500 were injured.

Trump's Illegal Assassination of Qassim Suleimani

Suleimani was planning attacks on Americans across the region, leading to an airstrike in Baghdad, the Pentagon statement said. Iran’s supreme leader called for vengeance.

January 7, 2020 Iran's Revenge attack for Trump's Assassination of Suleimani: US troops targeted with 12+ ballistic missiles

At approximately 5:30 p.m. (EST) on January 7, Iran launched more than a dozen ballistic missiles against U.S. military and coalition forces in Iraq. It is clear that these missiles were launched from Iran and targeted at least two Iraqi military bases hosting U.S. military and coalition personnel at Al-Assad and Irbil.

More than a dozen missiles launched from Iran struck two air bases in Irbil and Al Asad, west of Baghdad.

The Iranian attack targeted at least two Iraqi military bases housing U.S. personnel, including Ain al-Asad. Iran's action was in retaliation for the U.S. drone strike that killed one of its most prominent military commanders, Maj. Gen. Qassem Soleimani.

1/16/2019 Suicide bombing in Syria killed four Americans

A suicide bombing in Syria killed four Americans and wounded three more on Wednesday, raising questions about the terror group’s resilience and reviving the pitched debate around Donald Trump’s plan to withdraw American forces from the country.

The Islamic State, also known as ISIS, claimed credit for the attack in the northern city of Manbij, which went unmentioned in a speech hours later by Vice President Mike Pence, who declared that “[t]he caliphate has crumbled and ISIS has been defeated.”

In a statement, the Pentagon said that two U.S. service members, one Department of Defense civilian employee and one American contractor were killed in the attack. Three troops were also injured in the blast during what the Pentagon called a routine patrol.

Trump's MAGA Bomber

  • “MAGA Bomber” Cesar Sayoc was sentenced to 20 years in prison on Monday for sending 16 mail bombs to 13 people around the United States last year.

  • The targets included leading critics of President Donald Trump such as former President Barack Obama, ex-Vice President Joe Biden, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, actor Robert De Niro and financier George Soros.

  • Sayoc’s other targets included CNN, former Attorney General Eric Holder, former CIA Director John Brennan, Sens. Cory Booker, D-N.J., and Kamala Harris, D-Calif., Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif., former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper and Tom Steyer, a billionaire now running for the Democratic presidential nomination.

Sure, Donald Trump didn’t launch a new all-out ground invasion on the scale of Iraq. But he did escalate conflict in every theatre of war he inherited, repeatedly brought the country to the brink of new wars, and recklessly threw around U.S. power with no regard for the many lives it would cost. The “anti-war” candidate, like those before him, was a pro-war president.

Escalating Inherited Wars — Despite repeated PR stunts, Trump did not “bring the troops home” or “end endless wars.” In fact, Trump consistently added fuel to the fire, increasing troop levels, deepening reliance on private contractors, and dramatically scaling up aerial warfare. Where an end to endless war requires repealing the 2001 and 2002 Authorizations for Use of Military Force, Trump expanded conflicts under both. His term saw four consecutive years of growth of an already out-of-control Pentagon budget. And loosening even the minimal restrictions that were already in place, he expanded the United States’ deadly and unaccountable drone wars.

Not only did Trump not end the wars he promised to, he worsened them, dropping more bombs, stoking further conflict, undermining the prospects of peace, and massively increasing the rate of civilian deaths.

All in on Yemen — U.S. support for the Saudi- and UAE-led intervention in the war in Yemen is one of the most egregious examples of destructive militarist foreign policymaking in years. Not only did Trump do nothing to end U.S. complicity himself, he repeatedly used his veto power to override bipartisan majorities in Congress that tried to stop U.S. military involvement and block the flow of arms to the conflict.

“Maximum Pressure” — Trump’s foreign policy was characterized above all by an aversion to diplomacy and a knee-jerk reliance on hostility. Attacking diplomatic relations and torpedoing successful multilateral agreements like the Iran nuclear deal, Trump instead tried to strongarm other countries into doing his bidding through threatening rhetoric, military brinkmanship, and suffocating sanctions. The result? Not a single one of Trump’s targets for hybrid warfare is any closer to doing his bidding now than when he started (often for the best). In the meantime, countless thousands have suffered the consequences.

Brought to the Brink — On multiple occasions, this hostile posture almost ignited all-out war. It was hardly a year ago that Trump’s illegal assassination of Iranian General Qasem Soleimani brought our countries to the brink of catastrophe. Ultimately, it was the pressure of mobilization by millions of people across the United States, Iran, and beyond, combined with restraint from the Iranian government, that averted that disaster. Trump deserves no praise for the fact that a crisis of his own creation didn’t spiral further out of control.

2017 – 2021 Trump’s Foreign Policy Moments

June 16, 2017 Trump reinstated restrictions on travel and trade with Cuba.

September 5, 2017 Trump and Attorney General Jeff Sessions announce that the Obama-era Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program will begin winding down in six months, leaving approximately eight hundred thousand beneficiaries vulnerable to deportation.

Trump withdrew all 2000+ troops from Syria, allowing Turkey and Russian allies to attack America's Kurdish Allies

October 6, 2019 In the wake of a call with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Trump abruptly decides to withdraw all remaining U.S. troops from Kurdish-controlled northern Syria.

The withdrawal has essentially left the Kurdish fighters to both fight off ISIS and defend themselves from Turkish incursions, and has drawn bipartisan criticism on Capitol Hill and from other world leaders.

The White House defended the withdrawal by claiming that ISIS has been defeated. Intelligence experts say that’s not the case. Over the weekend, Trump’s former Defense Secretary Jim Mattis said ISIS was not defeated and will resurge without pressure from the U.S.-Kurdish partnership. Mattis offered his resignation the next day.

Two days later, Turkish troops invade northern Syria to combat Kurdish groups, which Ankara labels terrorists, and the Kurds seek protection from Assad’s regime and his Russian allies.

The U.S. withdrawal has forced Kurdish fighters into an alliance with the Russia-backed Syrian government, and American troops could be trapped between two advancing armies.

President Trump’s withdrawal from Syria has thrown the region into chaos, shattered American credibility, and uncovered deep problems with U.S. policy toward Turkey.

Unlike his predecessors, at least the current US president is honest about his intentions to profit off Syria's oil, Syrian president tells state TV

Kurds align with Assad (Syria), Russia’s influence grows, ISIS prisoners escape, NATO tensions spill over, and Questions swirl about nukes in Turkey.

Trump Ends Iran Nuclear Deal, allowing them to build nukes!

Two years after Trump withdrew from the Iran nuclear deal, Tehran has cut in half the time it would need to produce enough weapons-grade fuel for a nuclear bomb.

A worthless withdrawal: Two years since President Trump abandoned the JCPOA

Two years ago, President Trump withdrew from the JCPOA promising that he could create a better deal and a safer world. He has nothing to show for it now, other than increased U.S. isolation on the global stage and an Iranian government that is closer to a nuclear capability. His maniacal need to follow through on a campaign promise has not only proven to be a worthless gesture, it is now clear that it was a reckless act that has made this country less safe.

Trump's International Military Attacks

President Trump’s impulsive decision-making and reliance on the military as his primary foreign policy tool jeopardizes America’s national security.

2017

In less than 3 months in office!

Rep. Barbara Lee (D-Calif.) said the "unprecedented use of an MOAB...marks a new front in the almost 16 year war in Afghanistan."

Commander-in-Chief Donald Trump unleashed one of the most powerful U.S. bombs--the 20,000 pound GBU-43, known as "the mother of all bombs"--on Afghanistan on Thursday, the Pentagon has confirmed.

2018

Last year the U.S. carried out 131 airstrikes against al Qaeda and ISIS in Yemen, up from 21 strikes in 2016. There were at least 10 more in January.

Feb 7 2018 U.S. troops killed hundreds of Syrian forces backed by Russian mercenaries (as well as Russian private military contractors). The American bombing was launched in response to a surprise attack on a U.S.-held base in the oil-rich Deir Ezzor region in Syria.

President Donald Trump made good on his threats to attack Syria Friday night, launching what he called “precision strikes” against three chemical weapons sites in a military action certain to enrage Russia and raise new questions about his Middle East strategy.

2020

Warplanes dropped 7,423 bombs and other munitions, the most since Pentagon began keeping track in 2006

This year alone U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM) has acknowledged 43 air strikes in Somalia compared to 42 from 2007 to 2017. It comes as AFRICOM embraces greater transparency, issuing its second ever quarterly “Civilian Casualty Assessment” on July 28. The report acknowledged that a U.S. air strike near the town of Jilib on February 2, 2020 killed a civilian woman and injured three members of her family. The finding substantiated a March report by Amnesty International that the air strike killed Nurto Kusow Omar Abukar, 18, and injured her two younger sisters and grandmother.

2020 Nuclear War With Iran

Trump’s most extravagant lie is that the Democratic administration are warmongers, and he was a peacemaker.

The story of that week, and the secret planning in the months preceding it, ranks as the most perilous chapter so far in President Trump’s three years in office.

Former Vice President Joe Biden says President Donald Trump is leading the U.S. “dangerously close” to a war with Iran.

He calls the president reckless and says he should rejoin the Iran nuclear deal and explain his reasoning for the U.S. killing Iran’s top general, Qasem Soleimani.

As Biden promotes his foreign policy credentials, he has also faced criticism from rival Bernie Sanders for supporting the Iraq War.

A collapse in negotiations between the Trump administration and Kim Jong Un has left Pyongyang with one option, it says: ‘To counter nuke with nuke.’
